Stake Technology Specialist

Why I built this

As our stake's technology specialist, I was the single point of contact for every ward's Kindoo access requests. When a building cleaner changed, or a new lock-up volunteer was called, the bishopric had to email me and wait. I built Kindoo Ward Manager to give each ward the autonomy to manage their own access, so I'm not the bottleneck and they're not waiting.

Background

I've been a software developer for fourteen years and a lifelong member of the Church. I've served as a stake technology specialist off and on since 2012. When I recently took over managing our stake's Kindoo setup, I noticed a gap between how wards were actually using their building keys and what Kindoo could support out of the box. This app was built to bridge that gap.
